The book Volti brings together fourteen years of photographic explorations in which the human face is transformed through the use of “Low-Tech Body Props.” The publication includes the complete series of Volti photographs and tells the story of its genesis and evolution. The images feature faces that are simultaneously familiar and alien, challenging the conventions of identity.
The design of the book is carefully crafted, encouraging a tactile exploration of the series. The cover is soft, with embossed lettering and metallic reflections. The interview included inside is printed on Fedrigoni Sirio Ultra Black paper.
Volti is a journey into an uncertain territory, where the human body becomes language and the face a symbol, inviting reflection on the mutable nature of identity.
